2015 Trinity Business Student of the Year: Ben Butler

benbutlerIn April 2015, Ben Butler (Law & Business) was named Trinity Business Student of the Year at an event in the House of Lords, Bank of Ireland, where awards were presented by Trinity College Dublin Provost, Professor Patrick Prendergast, CEO Bank of Ireland Ritchie Boucher and Trinity Business Alumni President Tom McAleese.

During his time in college, Ben was involved in a number of societies such as The Phil, where he represented Trinity at the European and World Debating Championships. Ben was elected President of Enactus Trinity, a social enterprise incubator, where he doubled the society’s membership, reinvigorated old projects, and founded Keep Appy – an app in the mental health space. Ben was also chosen as USI’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2015. Graduating with First Class Honours in Law and Business, Ben joined Stripe as one of the founding members of their Dublin office.
