We are delighted to invite you to the Student Managed Fund’s Leadership Perspectives 2018 series “Lessons in Leadership” on Thursday 8 February in the Edmund Burke Theatre.
The Leadership Perspectives series is the SMF’s premier leadership event. It occurs on an annual basis with the inaugural event having been held in February 2014. Each event in the series brings together a range of esteemed business leaders from across the globe to discuss a particular topic in a panel discussion format. This year the theme is “Lessons in Leadership”.
The event, which will be held under Chatham House rules, was founded to give our members insight into how management and leadership theory converges with practice. Our speakers give an address on a topic with which they identify within the current year’s theme. A chairperson then facilitates a discussion between the panelists and the audience.
The event is very generously sponsored by Guggenheim Partners and Trinity Business Alumni.
The event will be chaired by Myles Dungan, Author, Historian & Presenter of the History Show on RTE Radio 1. Our panel is as follows:
Paul Drechsler, CBE – President of the Confederation of British Industry and former CEO of the Wates Group.
Governor Howard Dean – 9th Governor of Vermont from 1991 to 2003 and Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2005 to 2009.
Sandra Whitney – Global Head of Strategic Publishing, Google
Ray Nolan – Founder of Hostelworld, CEO XSellco
The discussion will be highly interactive, allowing the audience to engage and ask questions about the panelists’ experiences.
This event is open to all. Please arrive at 18:20 as the even will start at 18:30 sharp.
