TBA Governance & Committees

The TBA is governed by a Committee, which is elected annually at an AGM in accordance with its constitution. The Committee is typically made up of Trinity Business Alumni (in a volunteer capacity), as well as members of the Trinity Development & Alumni office who support the Committee with regards to organising and promoting events.

President

Barry O’Dowd

Barry has been involved in the TBA for a number of years and became its President in 2021.

Barry is a seasoned Foreign Direct Investment professional having spent most of his career in IDA Ireland. On his retirement he was a member of the senior management team and since then he has been an active Director in both the Not for Profit and Commercial sectors.

Liam Booth

Liam served as the TBA’s President for the 2019 – 2021 period. Liam is the current Head of Corporate Finance at Investec Ireland.

Head of the Events Sub-Committee

Susan Cox

Susan is responsible for the organisation of the TBA’s events. Susan Cox studied BESS (Business & Politics) and spent a year in Strasbourg in the IEP and holds an MBS from UCD Smurfit. She has over 20 years recruitment experience, spent a number of years working in Executive Search in San Francisco, ran her own firm recruiting in Dublin and extensively in Poland, working with many multinationals as they scaled their European operations. Susan now works with the Irish Times, as Head of the Group Recruitment Solutions working closely with clients to determine their employer branding and talent strategies.

Head of the Communications Sub-Committee

Peter Gillen

Peter is responsible for the TBA’s Communications, including its website and social media channels. Peter is a Manager in the Sustainability Advisory team in Grant Thornton, where he helps clients to navigate the sustainability regulatory landscape.

Head of the Student Engagement Sub-Committee

Seán Kelly

Seán is responsible for the TBA’s Student Engagement. This involves promoting the TBA’s engagement with students and student societies through events. Seán works as a data analyst for Irish Distillers, where he is responsible for the development of robust demand forecasts provided through insight, analysis & data.

Head of the International Engagement Sub-Committee

Colin Kavanagh

Colin is responsible for the TBA’s International Engagement. Colin is also the Chief Marketing Officer for Pernod Ricard EMEA & LATAM, based in Paris, France.

Treasurer

Feena Flanagan

Feena is responsible for the TBA’s finances, and currently works in the Trinity Development & Alumni Office..

Brian MacIntyre

Brian is a committee member on TBA, and is also on the International sub-committee. He has spent nearly three decades as a print and broadcast journalist and sub-editor for major employers on both sides of the Atlantic. He recently changed careers to become a public servant at the Data Protection Commission.

William Dillon-Leetch

William is a committee member of the TBA and also sits on the Events Sub-Committee of the TBA. Outside of the TBA, William is a Partner in the Corporate M&A department of Mason Hayes & Curran LLP. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, particularly in the energy and built environment sectors.

Michael DeNardo

Michael DeNardo is a Committee member of the TBA, and is also on the International Engagement subcommittee and is always seeking a path for greater engagement among TCD School of Business alumni globally. Michael is is the Co-founder of Automotive Equity Management in Dublin and Head of Trading for Tigress Financial Partners in NYC. Michael has an MBA from Trinity College Dublin and an undergraduate degree in History & Classics from Fordham University.

John Mannion

John is the current Accenture Representative on the TBA Committee and is also a member of the Student Engagement Subcommittee. I am the Public Service Innovation Lead, based at the Dock, Dublin – Accenture’s Global Innovation Hub.

Richard Carr

Richard is on the TBA Committee, and is also the Accenture Interactive lead in Ireland and CEO of Rothco

Catherine Coughlan

Catherine is a Development Manager with Trinity Development & Alumni and works closely with the Provost’s office to help deliver strategic philanthropic projects for college. Her main focus is working with Trinity Access programmes including Pathways to Business. Previously, she was the Corporate Sponsorship and Development Manager in the National Concert Hall and National Gallery of Ireland. Catherine holds a B.A and M.A. from University College Dublin and a P.G.Dip from Ulster University.

Tom McAleese

Tom served as the TBA’s President for the 2015 – 2017 period. Tom is a current Committee Member and a Trustee of the TBA.
